Abstract

The study is focused on some problems: (1) what is the concept of cooperative based learning in the subject of Islamic religion? (2) What is the concept Islamic religion education learning? (3) Can cooperative based learning model influence the results of Islamic religion education subject? The type of the research is field research and case study. This study used three techniques of the data collection, namely observation, interview, and documentation. Cooperative based learning model is very effective and significant to teach Islamic religion education subject. It is shown from the mean of the students’ marks before using the cooperative learning model (6.4) and after (8.09). Based on the quantitative analysis of the research result it shows that t is -6,010 and t table is 2,660 for 5 % and 2,390 for 1%.
