Abstract
The purpose of this research is to answer (1) How the interfaith relation in Kotesan, Prambanan, Klaten is created; (2) What are the main factors which influence the interfaith relation in the community; and (3) How the community maintains the achieved and the established interfaith relation in that community. The theories used in this research are replacement, fulfillment, mutuality, and acceptance. There are several data collection methods used namely Focus Group Discussion, Participant Observation, In-dept-interview, and Documentation. The findings of the research show that the relation is created because all religious believers tolerate among others. Secondly, the tolerance creates harmony formed in several social activities guarded together. In addition, the communities respect among others concerning the religious views they posses.
