Abstract
The research tried to answer the problems as follow: (1) why inter-religious tolerance is relatively safe at Salatiga in theological and sociological context of view; and (2) what are the contributions given by stakeholders to keep the harmony among interfaiths people? This is a kind of qulitative-descriptive research using theological-sociological approach, focusing on the general principles which became the basic structure for units of indication among people in their social and religious life. The research found: (1) in the theological and sociological point of view, every people, especially the religious figures of each religion, supported harmony among interfaith people in many forms; (2) majelis PUASA is a determinant factor adhering relationship among interfaith people at Salatiga. The implementation of religious doctrine of each religion to their people, through the institution, can be understood tansformatively in considering tolerance and appreciating each other.
