PLURALISME DALAM PENDIDIKAN AGAMA DI SMA MUHAMMADIYAH KUPANG, NTT

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to know: (1) curriculum’s development and implementation; (2) it’s implementation impact; (3) factor which influenced the implementation of religion education curriculum in SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang NTT. The method used in this research is qualitative approach using perceptive data. This research found: (1) education in SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang applied “pluralist” model in which the students received two kind of “pendidikan agama” (inter-religious studies), Islam and non Islam; (2) SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang accepted students without scrutinizing or looking at their religious background; (3) the development process of religion education curriculum in SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang was based on standards developed by Majelis Dikdasmen PP Muhammadiyah in 2007; (4) in the practical level, attitude and behavior of the students with different religions in SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang went in harmony.
